| Funny story...well not if your chickens. As most everyone knows that has come to visit our farm the Nisqullay River is not far from our back fence line. Some of you may not know but every year around mid January the bold eagles come to eat fish from the salmon run and to mate. Every morning starting at 6AM you can hear them talking to each other very loudly waking up everyone. They tend to go fishing then sit in the trees around our house. This year we counted about 17 eagles in the trees hanging out. I could fill a book of all the pictures we have taken of them but none are as funny as this one. As you can see in the picture that is zoomed in there is an eagle sitting in a tree over looking my chickens. The chickens don't seem to care that they are over there at all. I also want to add they have never killed any of our chickens. Any how this is my story of the day |
